Setting Up Retail-Man for Multi-currency Operation

Postby graham » Tue Mar 23, 2010 12:13 am

Retail-Man accepts cash payments in multi-currency on the POS screen only. Some aspects of the setup and use of multi-currency are explained below.

To enable multi-currency on the POS screen, you need to change the settings in Maintenance, System Setup, POS. Ensure that the Allow Multi-Currency Payment box is ticked.

On the POS screen, after a sale has been entered and the Pay (F5) button has been clicked, you can Right Click on the pull down menu beside CASH. This will then display the accepted currencies and the exchange rate. New currencies can be be added on the top line, a Code, Currency Name, Eschange Rate and Symbol are needed.

If the base currency is GBP and the sale is in USD, the exchange rate will be approximately 1.55 to convert USD to GBP.

If the base currency is USD and the sale is in GBP, the exchange rate will be approximately 0.65 to convert GBP to USD.

Once the currencies and exchange rates have been defined, they will need to be updated regularly.

At the time of a sale, Left Click on the pull down menu beside CASH to select the required currency. The funds received will be converted to the base currency at the time of the sale. The balance can be paid by Check, Credit Card, Amex, etc.

Hi,

We do sales CASH and with Debit or Credit Card.

Cash sales can be done in multi currency.

But how can I put the currency of debit and credit cards such as VISA, Mastercard etc. to USD because payments with credit card are in USD and the default Currency in our country is Guilders.

So the credit card payment have to be in USD, How can I change this? Because now on the receipt the Visa payments are in Guilders instead of in USD.

Please some support would be appreciated.

Regards.
